Bluff gets a lot of riders. Do you happen to be on Strava and can see the various groups/people riding there already? Also, the bike shops around there probably know about some group rides. While the Tour De Dirt race series isn't hitting Bluff this year, it is a great way to meet people and new places to ride - https://tourdedirt.com/2024-schedule
Yeah, it can feel awkward... But everyone at the trail system is also generally a pretty nice/friendly person and just seeing someone at the trail and saying "hey, I'm Lefty and I'm new here, mind if I follow you for a bit to get a feel for the trail?" is pretty harmless - in my opinion at least.
They have the weekly Bluff Party Laps ride on Thursday. Open to everyone of all skill levels. People usually congregate before and after the ride.
Thanks
